Hair On Loc grew from years of listening. As a natural hairstylist and loctician, KayChelle Hertz repeatedly heard clients share the same frustrations - they were struggling with dry, itchy scalps, insufficient moisture, and oils that simply weren't meeting their hair's needs. Ultimately, their hair needed more moisture, and the products in their routines simply weren’t meeting their needs.
In 2018, she created her own. What began as a solution for the clients in her chair became the foundation for Hair On Loc, established in 2020.

KayChelle Hertz
Master Stylist, licensed cosmetologist and trichologist KayChelle Hertz has worked professionally in hair since 2016, specializing in natural hair and loc care. Her work behind the chair shaped the philosophy behind Hair On Loc: thoughtful products matter, but education, consistency and intentional care matter too.
