KayChelle Hertz is a Master Stylist, licensed cosmetologist and trichologist, natural hairstylist and loctician whose approach to hair care is rooted in professional expertise, education and intentional routines. Working professionally in hair since 2016, KayChelle built her practice around caring for natural hair and locs while helping clients better understand the relationship between their scalp, their routine and the way they care for their hair. Years behind the chair gave KayChelle a front-row view into the recurring concerns clients brought to her—particularly around scalp comfort, moisture and finding products that felt genuinely useful within their routines. In 2018, those conversations inspired her to create the formula that would later become Pressed Down Shaken Together™ Restorative Scalp & Hair Oil. That formula became the foundation for Hair On Loc, established in 2020. Today, KayChelle’s vision extends beyond any single product. Through Hair On Loc, she is building a scalp + hair care brand centered on thoughtful formulation, consistency, education and the belief that intentional care should feel both elevated and attainable.
